Page 12 Inks
When I was looking over the rest of the script two days ago in preparation to begin work on page 13, I knew the story was switching gears again but I didn’t realize just how quickly it moved after this point. In the next page, the big “plot twist” happens that sets the Variables universe in motion. Up until this point, everyone who knew about these people with strange powers was keeping quiet about it, trying to figure out what to do about it or how to benefit from these people. Now someone is going to make the first move.
On this page, Isabel and Candice find more confusing evidence. I feel bad for the girls; they’re good detectives and disliked being put on this case and now, the evidence is turning just plain weird and they have no clues on how to proceed. Ah well, they’ll figure it out sooner or later or it wouldn’t make for much of a story arc. I can’t wait to reveal that story point but it’s quite some time off so no use in getting excited about it right this second.
In unrelated news, I’ve been on the anti-smoking drug Chantix for the past week and today *should* be my last day of smoking. It can’t come soon enough, really, not only to get away from the cost, sickness, smell, etc. that goes along with smoking, but also to get off this damned medication. It’s just about the worst stuff in the world; I’m constantly tired, loopy, confused, and a host of other maladies that render me incapable of doing just about anything. So, wish me luck or something.
