It’s time for another MCBA convention! The leaves will be turning soon so that means it’s their one day wonder, Fall ComiCon. I’ll have a bunch of new stuff including several new original art pieces and a slew of new prints (probably one or two more to be finished in the next week, stay tuned). And, as always, I accept commissions at the convention but get there early because I often book up for the day in the first couple of hours. Tickets are only $9 so there’s no reason not to visit! I’ll be in Madison later this month at the local Wizard World show (yet another all-new convention for me). I’ll be offering my typical fare: comic books, original art, lots of prints. Come by and check them out in person!
Back-to-back conventions! For the first time, I’ll be tabling a Chicago convention. I’m excited, as this will be the first time I attend a traditional four day convention (CONvergence doesn’t really count, as it’s a half-work, half-party convention for me). So, if you happen to be in the Chicago area near the end of August, come visit me and say hi! Wizard World Chicago Donald E. Stephens Convention Center 5555 North River Road Rosemont, Illinois 60018 Thursday, 8/24: 4pm-9pm Friday, 8/25: 12pm-7pm Saturday, 8/26: 10am-7pm Sunday, 8/27: 10am-4pm As always, I’ll have new prints available, including this new Grand Admiral... There’s a new convention in town! The organizers of Phoenix Comicon (one of the largest in the country) have migrated to the upper midwest and brought their community-centric approach to the Twin Cities. Unlike other large convention who shall not be named, Fan Fest focuses on the local community and you’ll see a ton of local creators and comic shops participating in this event. Come by and check out all the cool local stuff (along with some pretty cool celebrities and renowned creators from Marvel and DC). I’ve been attending CONvergence for the past eight years as a “fun” con. This year, I’ve committed to tabling my first four day (yeesh) convention. Artists Alley is located in the Sheraton next to the “main” convention space, across the street and a three minute walk. Come by and visit, hours and information listed below! CONvergence DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel 7800 Normandale Blvd. Bloomington, MN 55439 Thursday, 7/6: 2pm-6pm Friday, 7/7: 10am-6pm Saturday, 7/8: 10am-6pm Sunday, 7/9: 10am-4pm As always, I’ll have a bunch of new stuff,... On something of a whim, I attended the first Blizzard World over the winter and had a great day. It’s a small con with a $4 admission fee so if you want a cheap way to see a bunch of artists in the same room and look at their stuff, this is the place to do it! As always, I’ll have a few new prints, lots of original art, and if you swing by my table, you can snag a free mini-print of everyone’s new favorite droid, BB-8! The weekend of May 20-21, I’ll be back at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, attending the best convention in the world: MSP Comicon! If you’ve never been, the con is full of comic book creators, both local and not. It’s extremely comic- and art-centric, unlike some other conventions that happen in the area. It’s only $14 to get in, unlike some other conventions that happen in the area. It’s better than sliced bread. Really. So come visit me! MSP Comicon Minnesota State Fairgrounds St Paul, MN Saturday, 5/20: 10am-6pm Sunday, 5/21: 10am-5pm Come by and get a free BB-8!
The weekend of May 5-7, I’ll be attending Wizard World Minneapolis for my… gasp… third time. I’m not sure how it’s already been two years since I first attended this convention but there you go. So, if you’re in Minneapolis, come by and visit. I’ll have a ton (nine!) new prints, a bunch of new original drawings, and FREE CRAP for anyone who swings by my table! Hey, person who visited my site! This weekend, I will be in Kansas City, tabling at Planet Comicon. As one of the premiere conventions in the midwest, it’s far larger than any other convention I’ve ever tabled. Last year, they drew in around 70,000 visitors over a three day period. That’s… oh… about four times the size of the next largest con I’ve tabled. So, if you’re in Kansas City, come by and visit. I’ll have a ton (nine!) new prints, a bunch of new original drawings, and FREE CRAP for anyone who swings by my table! Planet Comicon Bartle Hall... View Article
