Page 6 Inks

One of the reasons I wanted to start this story was that it finally allowed me to consistently draw action scenes. Variables will never be like a typical Spider-Man or Superman book with the amount of action it contains per issue but the first 30 pages of the 1992 arc were almost completely devoid of it, which kinda gets boring to draw after awhile. Plus, while intrigue is fun to read, it should be broken up now and again with action sequences. It’s one of the reasons I decided to re-write the second half of the 1992 storyline.

Anyway, before I completely digress, this page turned out *good enough*. I really struggled with a few of these panels and I’m still not sold on the poses/anatomy on them. I sat down and drew the first panel in one shot with virtually no mistakes and thought I was going to cruise through the page without difficulty. Then I started drawing panels 2, 3, and 5 and screwed them up multiple times before settling on the mediocrity you see here. Definitely not my best work but there are times when you have to cut your losses and move on before you waste a week on one page and drive yourself crazy while doing it.

This week, I’m going to work on the 2002 arc again but if I manage to get another page posted before Friday, I may return to the 1992 arc and finish page 11 of that series, which starts a new scene. Time will tell and I’ll post updates later in the week.
