Kicking off the comic book podcast this week, Nick and Brock dive right into hot, current events and talk Man of Steel and James Bond movies. Nick just saw Man of Steel so he could finally stop repeating others criticisms. Really though, did Pa Kent get himself killed to save the family dog? Is there anything more redneck than that? Also, Brock went on a Bond bender and talks about which is his favorite actor to play 007. Yes. It was a slow news day. Even though the Preacher AMC pilot was officially confirmed, for CCCP, it was SO Podcast #27.

It was put off for too long and our intrepid searchers for all things gloriously bad cracked open a Gold/Silver Age book that is so horrible by today’s standards that it is a must-read, Superman’s Girlfriend, Lois Lane. Somewhere a DC executive looks at this series like Lucas looks at the Star Wars Holiday Special and if they could burn every last copy of it, they would. Like all things embarrassing, it is now on the internet for future generations to ridicule. Lois Lane tries to trap Superman any way she can while the Man of Steel does super important superhero stuff, like freeze ice cream in space or construct futuristic cities just to teach Lois a lesson.
