In this week’s comic book podcast, we’re back after a brief holiday hiatus to announce we are going on another brief holiday hiatus! Our end of the year projects are stacking up so this will be the last CCCP podcast of 2013. We’re messing with the format to try to talk about more webcomics, so this episode is the first of that new focus.

First up, we talk a little about the relationship between comics and the movies they spawn. Does the movie sell the comic book? This conversation might be related to Wanted, Mark Millar’s all supervillain 6 issue story that explores the banality of being an unopposed supervillain while taking a jab at your favorite heroes and villains. I don’t know if the movie takes the cake for the least recognizable adaptation, but it should be close.

Instead of a new single issue of a traditional format comic, we’re taking a look at the webcomic The Adventures of Dr. McNinja. Irish ninjas and goats with laser beams coming from their eyes. A great way to kick off the format change!
